Strengthening Nanoscience Through Collaboration

At TESCAN, we are committed to collaborative efforts that enhance scientific research both in Europe and globally. Our recent partnership with nanoGUNE, the Basque Nanoscience Cooperative Research Center, exemplifies this commitment, aiming to boost nanoscience research within the Basque region.

Founded in 2006 with support from the Basque Government, nanoGUNE is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting innovation and high-quality research in nanoscience. With the installment of a CRYO Plasma FIB device funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, nanoGUNE has taken a significant step in enhancing the region's electron microscopy infrastructure.

Collaborative Workshop: Introducing CRYO Plasma FIB

On March 5th, 2024, nanoGUNE will host an enlightening workshop showcasing the newly installed CRYO Plasma FIB device. Experts from TESCAN will be on hand to provide valuable insights and engage with participants.

Workshop Highlights:

  • An overview of the advanced detectors available for diverse materials science applications.
  • Insights into the Xe plasma ion source designed for efficient milling, particularly beneficial for the battery industry.
  • An introduction to TOF SIMS capabilities for detailed elemental analysis.
  • A focus on the cryogenic features tailored for biological and lithium-battery research.

This event offers a valuable opportunity for engagement with the scientific community, providing a platform to discuss recent advancements and explore the benefits of our collaborative efforts.
